This is the story of the time when I was in Austin, and she was in Austin. I was at a hotel, and I called her. We were in a room full of people that were chatting, and we chatted. Her mom came, and easily made friends with mine. Her sister clung onto me- "Joy loves hugs," she said. I asked her about school, and she asked me about music. For a brief period of time I couldn't believe that we had actually met. Naturally, my awkward self came out and I was often at a loss for words. (I have much more to say then what I said.) Time was short. I forgot my memory card, then I borrowed her glasses. She asked about my blog, I took it like a compliment. She took pictures of me, I took some of her. We used flash, against a wall, in a room full of people in a hotel. We planned to meet again, next time with burgers and thrifting, and I'm keeping my word.
This is Jocelyn. I neglected to call her Jocee- I felt like we needed to meet first. She's tall (I'm sure she's never heard that one before), she likes to wear heels and lipstick, and she pulls them off. She lights up the room, has supercool glasses, and she knows what to say at the right moment. She's knowledgeable about music and likeable; she's the kind of person that you immediately want to be friends with.
She has the most wonderful smile and she's awesome and I can't wait to meet up with her again.
