time to pull out the flowers, and let's talk about books.

So let's be real here. There are so many things that I wish I would make time to do, but mostly reading- oh, reading. The last time I read for my leisure was the first three chapters of TFIOS over Christmas break. When I had time. I haven't read any more since. The whole month of April has passed right before me and most of it has consisted of loads of work in preparation for the AP exam and other tests. Let me just day, that when this is over, I will be a happy camper. I'm seriously not going to know what to do with my time.

I want to read, desperately. Just to escape from things, to fuel my imagination and such. And reading for English is practically not when there is an assignment involved. I mean reading like sitting under a favorite tree, or in a quiet room, or anywhere alone.

But when time comes around, I spend the majority of it thinking. It's crazy, this thing called time. Sometimes it comes a little too early and leaves a little too soon, and the hard part is, you can't predict it like the weather, so you just have to accept it.

So, a goal of mine I would like to add to the list is to read. Just read as much as possible, but with no rush. It seems that I have almost forgotten what it feels like to escape to a different world, and I would like that feeling back.

love, ryan

    1. I'm so ready for summer, and reading. And it's good to know that others are in the same situation as I am!

  2. I'm a book nerd, but I haven't gotten around to reading in April...only two books. But I'm currently reading four books (trying to) this month so far.

    Good luck,

  3. Hopefully you'll have more time to get lost in books when school lets out. Totally get missing that, it's no fun.

  5. I hope you have more time to read soon! You seriously have to finish TFIOS. And after that, read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Ya gotta.
