lake-water and fireworks for the fourth

The lake is a place that I often crave, even though I don't particularly care for the water. Just the atmosphere is wonderful, its away and full of trees and just good. The lake house is out in the middle of nowhere (to me), it is so hard not to get lost on the way. But that's the fun part, because no one can find you; it's peaceful and hidden. I walked barefoot on the deck, and down to the dock, something that I seldom do at home, but am hoping to do more often. The water was warm from the Texas sun and it was five feet down, but somehow, we still got the boat in.

There is a feeling of pure freedom that I get when the boat is gliding through the water, it's something that is so innocent and carefree that it's really hard to describe. Just to watch the sky racing past and the water splashing against the sides of the boat is perfect in the moment. And ending the day with fireworks lit by the other kids (of course I was photographing), made the day even better.

  3. <3 I agree, the atmosphere is amazing.
Am I the only one who hasn't posted firework pictures yet? :P I have them uploaded; I just haven't found the time to post them yet.

By the way, what do you use to edit your photos? I'm not sure if you've said it before, so sorry if this is like, the hundredth time someone has asked.
