Last weekend was edgefest, the most intense/crazy/awesome concert festival thing, ever. It was probably one of the most fun days that I've had in a while. Eileen, Piper and I were there from twelve in the afternoon until about ten thirty that night. There were crowd surfers, and dancing, coupled with me belting out bastille and chvrvhes and new politics songs and clapping with my hands in the air until my arms hurt, along with giant crowds of people that were really packed together and a multitude of smoke in the air (which I absolutely did not participate in). I watched jesse from the neighbourhood, and I was very amused by his black headscarf and awkward dancing, and we walked past so many crop-tops that I lost count. Then, during cage the elephant, there was this totally crazy and insane moment when I became an irrational teenager. I'm sort of regretting it, actually, but really, I'm not sure what to think about it. It was an extremely bold move, and not like me. But, then again, we all have irrational teenager moments.

Also, I brought a disposable camera with me and I'm planning on getting the pictures developed soon. I have a new love for these types of cameras because they're cheap and still capture memories. We finished off the festival with ihop (french toast for me) and I didn't go to bed until two that morning. I was thinking, reflecting, as I still am, on the entire experience.

  1. I love experiences like that where at the end, your mind kind of just plays out the memories and you just sit there half-smiling and remembering the good times.
